What is the Dean’s List Recognition Event?
This is a casual, come-and-go celebration where students have the opportunity to meet and be recognized by their college dean. There is no formal program—just a welcoming environment to honor academic achievement.

Is there a dress code?
Students are encouraged to wear casual or business casual attire that reflects the celebratory nature of the event.

Will there be photo opportunities?
Yes! Students can take photos with their dean, fellow honorees, and even Boko. Multiple photo stations will be set up throughout the UEC for memorable snapshots.

Will there be digital recognition?
Yes. Beginning Fall 2025, the university will launch Merit Pages, an online platform that highlights student achievements and shares personalized recognition with families and communities.

Will food be available?
Yes. UEC concessions will be open during the event, offering food and beverages for purchase. Additional refreshments will be available at Sewell Park following the event as part of family weekend.

Will students still receive Dean’s List T-shirts?
No. T-Shirts will no longer be distributed at the event. This decision reflects a shift toward more meaningful and lasting recognition items.

What will students receive instead?
Students will be honored with:
- an official notation on their transcript,
- a college specific Dean’s Certificate distributed by their college,
- and, if applicable, a 4.0 President’s Pin.
